CALLING ALL TWILIGHT FANS (Who have read through Eclipse)?

Eclipse Special Edition, if you take off the cover the back is the Breaking Dawn cover.WHO IS TALKING AT THE BOTTOM? Bella %26amp; Edward or Bella %26amp; Jacob? I%26#039;m pretty convinced it%26#039;s Bella and Edward, but it%26#039;s driving me crazy!

Here%26#039;s the paragraph on the front:

%26quot;Don%26#039;t be afraid,%26quot; I murmured.

%26quot;We belong together.%26quot;

I was abruptly overwhelmed by the truth of my own words.

This moment was so perfect, so right.

There was no way to doubt it.

His arms wrapped around me, holding me against him... It felt like every nerve ending in my body was a live wire.

%26quot;Forever,%26quot; he agreed.%26quot;

So yea... Thanks everyone!

CALLING ALL TWILIGHT FANS (Who have read through Eclipse)?
omg this is driving me crazy to, but i think its edward and bella casue %26quot;he%26quot; says forever, and we all know that its edward who says forever often and not jacob and another thing is, forever refers to immortality so it has to be edward and bella right?
CALLING ALL TWILIGHT FANS (Who have read through Eclipse)?
I have no idea.... GRRR

I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL AUGUST 2ND!!! COME OUT SOONER!!!!

GO TEAM EDWARD!!!! i hate jacob...
Reply:i want to say edward but it could be jacob. they always want you to think what they want you to think. they%26#039;re playing with your minds. so i think it either one of them two.
Reply:who%26#039;s alice cullen?
Reply:Oh my gosh, isn%26#039;t this the THIRD time you%26#039;ve asked this question??

Anyway, like I%26#039;ve said three times now, I think that Bella is talking to Edward. I think ti%26#039;s going to right before the sleep together. And the live wire thing means that you%26#039;re hot, not cold
Reply:I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;s Edward, because if you%26#039;ve seen the picture of the first chapter of Breaking Dawn (not the first page) it%26#039;s titled Engagement, or something like that. I haven%26#039;t seen it for a while, so I don%26#039;t remember. And I don%26#039;t think %26#039;live wire%26#039; refers to her being hot or cold, I think she%26#039;s saying she%26#039;s excited or happy, or something....
Reply:Go you! I am also completely Team Edward, although I don%26#039;t exactly hate Jacob. He just kind of needs to back off.

Anyways, is it Edward of Jacob. I think Edward, because after everything Bella%26#039;s been through with Edward, it would kind of be ridiculous to have her end up with Jacob. Also, Bella never responds that way to Jacob - the whole %26quot;live wire%26quot; thing...while she is hyper-aware of Edward. Not only that, Edward is immortal, therefore it would make more sense for him to say %26quot;Forever.%26quot;

Just wild theories, but I hope they%26#039;re right...
Reply:i%26#039;m about 60% sure that it is edward and bella talking and Edward is about to bite her.
Reply:Def Edward. Only because Jacob can%26#039;t turn Bella Immortal and she belongs with Edward.
Reply:I never thought of that.. thanks for putting that in my brain ! lol. greta. just one more twilight thing for me to obsess over.... ahhh why do i torture myself with this stuff?? im gonna go read the series.......again. lol

I think its edward though. if it%26#039;s not, i swear i will burn the book. BELLA BETTER END UP WITH EDWARD!!

if jacob gets in their way again i swear to god...

GO TEAM EDWARD!!

What are some good books?

I want something that is not boring. I can focus enough to withstand heavy description and characterization, such as The Yearling, but not if it drones on and on, like Catch-22 or The Grapes of Wrath.

If you recommend science fiction or fantasy, it has to be almost as great as the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Exciting plot, with many complex events that just seem to click together. Brilliant, and doesn%26#039;t neglect characterization.

In realistic fiction, I%26#039;m looking for something that%26#039;s got a great writing style, and strong characterization. It still has to be interesting. The Prince of Tides is a novel that fits this description that I enjoyed.

Some novels I enjoyed:

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (Haven%26#039;t actually read it yet, but I spent a lot of time reading reviews and descriptions about it and it sounded great.)

The Prince of Tides, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, The Outsiders, The Kitchen Man, The Butcher Boy, Flowers to Algernon, HGTTG, and kind of enjoyed Treasure Island.
What are some good books?
Dracula by Bram Stoker is good. And overlooked. It was one of the best books that I%26#039;ve read.
What are some good books?
Some of those books sound a little obscure, and I%26#039;ll admit a lot of them I%26#039;ve never read, but I think you might like The Green Mile (Stephen King) or books by Ray Bradbury (The Illustrated Man, a book of short stories, is phenomenal).
Reply:Try the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. The action never stops and I couldn%26#039;t put them down. Amazing books.
Reply:Science fiction? Anything by Kurt Vonnegut. Fantastic writer-- I%26#039;d recommend Slaughterhouse-5.
Reply:I%26#039;ll try to give you several of different genres:

Novel/Mythology/Spiritual

Till We Have Faces - C.S. Lewis.

Its a re-telling of an old myth, very introspective with alot of depth.

Classic/Realistic horror

Lord of the Flies

Classis, might have read in high school but an excellent book about the not-so-naive nature of children which is exposed when a plane crashes and strands a group of kids on an island

Romance/Historical

Scarlett - Alexandra Ripley

Sequel to Gone with the Wind. Would have to be familiar with the plot of the GWTW. Lots of good history amidst adventure, centered around a woman who%26#039;s personal growth is quite intriguing.

Thriller

Thr3e - Tedd Dekker

A thriller that will keep you guessing and has a GREAT twist at the end. Easy read but not shallow.

Comedy

Laughing Gas - P.G. Wodehouse

If you enjoy british humor, this is a witty and enjoyable farce about a gentleman and a boy who accidentally switch bodies.

Play/Adventure

Cyrano De Bergarac

Its a play, perhaps one of the wittiest I%26#039;ve read other than Shakespeare. I%26#039;m sure you know the story, but its pretty much got everything from romance to war to wit to woes.

I%26#039;ve got plenty more if you like these! Good luck from a fellow avid reader.

Shadowmarch by Ted Williams....any good???

I went to Borders the other day and the woman I was talking to really recommended it. (She worked at the store) I just wanted to get some more opinions on it.
Shadowmarch by Ted Williams....any good???
It%26#039;s a very good book.
Shadowmarch by Ted Williams....any good???
I started reading it several times and I just couldn%26#039;t get into it. Thats very unusual for me, I usually soak up Fantasy in any form.

What is a good comparison of the book eldest, to the real world, any ideas?

eldest is a book

Name a few gangsters you would like to see fictionaly portrayed in a novel?

like 50 cent or al cappone type gangster?
Name a few gangsters you would like to see fictionaly portrayed in a novel?
the gangsters that we know about are the ones that got cought by the cops so basically they r the loosers. I would read about someone who did not get cought or killed. He is a succsess story....
Name a few gangsters you would like to see fictionaly portrayed in a novel?
i want to see jabba the hut in a godfather style mafia novel
Reply:i would love to see a charecter like Al Capone or another 20%26#039;s era gangster. That book would be intresting.

About the occupation of an author.?

how much money can u earn?

is ur salary by hour, or annual
About the occupation of an author.?
It depends on what kind of writing job you have.

If you are a novelist, or write books, then you would get paid when you sell your book(first an advance from the publisher, then a bit of sales (i think))

If you are a writer for a newspaper or magazine, then you would have an annual salary. (Unless you just write freelance articles, then it would be per article)
About the occupation of an author.?
Techincally authors don%26#039;t have salaries. They get paid royalties, which depend on how much the book was sold for. The most common net price for a book is 10 dollars, though it could be higher or lower, and on average the author would get $0.70. So, if you sell around 20,000 books you get around $17,000.

A lot of people, places, and even websites make writing seem like a glamorous job. It%26#039;s really not. You depend on your readers for your living and if they don%26#039;t like your book you better be finding a second job. Even the best authors write crap and that means a lower paycheck.

Does anyone know some really cool books for teens?? i like reading about things i can relate to?

Does anyone know some really cool books for teens? I like reading about things i can relate to such as love, high school related things, and just life as a teenager. Any suggestions? some other books i like (to give you an idea) are the Clique novels, Perfect, Stargirl, and things like that.
Does anyone know some really cool books for teens?? i like reading about things i can relate to?
Here are some of my favorite teen and some adult-ish novels:

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It%26#039;s about a girl named Bella who moves to Forks, Washington and runs into a group of vampires. VERY VERY good! I REALLY think you should give it a chance because I%26#039;m not into vampire stuff, but it was AMAZING!

http://stepheniemeyer.com/twilight.html

Pants On Fire by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about a girl who basically has everything (popular best friend, good grades... and TWO boyfriends.) It%26#039;s really funny because then her friend from eighth grade come back to town (everyone hates him) and she falls head over heals for him too.

http://www.megcabot.com/

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. It%26#039;s about four girls who where born as friends. They go through ups and downs together.

The Last Summer (Of You and Me) by Ann Brashares was amazing. It may be more of an adult book, but it was fairly good.

All-American Girl and All-American Girl Ready Or Not by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about an outcast girl who happens to save the presidents life. Suddenly everyone at school wants to be her friend, but she doesn%26#039;t really care... What she does care about is the presidents son...

Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about a girl who goes over seas with her boyfriend after (almost!) finishing college. After a bad break up with him, she goes with her friend and runs into someone.... It%26#039;s a very good adult book!

How To Be Popular by Meg Cabot. It%26#039;s about a girl who comes across an old book in her grandma%26#039;a attic called how to be popular. So, she follows the rules of the book hoping to become popular.

Jinx by Meg Cabot. If you liked Twilight, then you%26#039;ll like this book. It%26#039;s about a girl who has bad luck all the time so she moves in with her aunt and uncle. He sister is into witchcraft and I don%26#039;t want to spoil the rest, but it fairly good.

Teen Idol by Meg Cabot. This is about a girl who has an advice column in her school newspaper. So, when a famous actor comes to her school and she%26#039;s the only one who knows about it, chaos occurs!

Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen is also pretty good. It%26#039;s about two girls that are best friends who are having a few issues in the love department.

http://www.sarahdessen.com/?q=books

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen is one of my favorites! It%26#039;s about a girl who had something terrible happen to her and she%26#039;s learning how to cope with it and befriends an outcast boy.

The Mediator series by Meg Cabot. I%26#039;ve only read the first two, but they are VERY good. It%26#039;s about a girl named Suze who moves to California from New York because her mother just remarried. Oh, and Suze can see ghosts...

13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. It%26#039;s about a guy named Clay who gets these tapes in the mail about why a girl named Hannah killed herself. It%26#039;s very good and a great page-turner!

http://www.thirteenreasonswhy.com/

She Went All The Way by Meg Cabot. This is a book for more mature people, but it%26#039;s very good. It%26#039;s about two people who get stranded in the wilderness.

Forever... by Judy Bloom is also pretty good. It%26#039;s about a girl getting a boyfriend and going through sensual things. It%26#039;s a little mature. It%26#039;s basically telling you the difference between first love and true love.

Nick and Norah%26#039;s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan is okay. My friends LOVED it! I don%26#039;t wanna tell you what it%26#039;s about because it%26#039;ll just give it all away.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer. It%26#039;s about how these things called souls invade Earth, as well as humans. It%26#039;s based on a soul named Wanda who is placed into Melanie, who refuses to fade away like she%26#039;s suppose too. It%26#039;s very interesting and I totally recommend it!

http://stepheniemeyer.com/thehost.html

Good luck with finding a book! I hope these help!

A nice large house, private school, new clothes, and a promise for the future are quite an adjustment to make.

She has never been so lonely or so sad, yet she must face each day. As she has her own problems to confront, her entire family is dealing with issues that plague her sister, Whitney. By circumstance, Annabel and Owen, whose life revolves around music, become friends. It is Owen who will help Annabel to meet certain challenges.

The Truth About Forever - Macy%26#039;s father has recently died and she is feeling guilty. Her mother isn%26#039;t coping with his death well at all. Macy%26#039;s boyfriend, Jason, represents security, but frankly he is a clueless jerk. It might have been a very long summer, but then by chance Macy meets an interesting group of people. I loved everyone in the Wish Catering crew, but most especially Wes. No matter the difficulties life has thrown each member of Wish they persevere because they must.

Dreamland - Caitlin is the younger and she feels second-rate sister to Cass who is perfect in every way. Now Caitlin is 16 and rather than starting at Yale, Cass has run off with a guy. Keeping the Moon - Colie and her mother used to be fat. They moved frequently and were homeless for a time. Then Colie%26#039;s mother went on a %26quot;let%26#039;s get healthy%26quot; kick and they both lost weight. Now mom has a good job and they live in a nice house. Mom is going to Europe to work for the summer and Colie is going to spend the summer with her eccentric aunt.

That Summer - Summers hold special memories for many of us: vacations, beaches, picnics, summer jobs, summer loves, maybe even a wedding or two. Haven, younger sister to Ashley, is fondly remembering a summer five years ago because in this current summer her world is falling apart. Ashley is also getting married this summer and Haven doesn%26#039;t understand why Ashley would choose this man.

Someone Like You - Halley and Scarlet, both 16 and juniors in high school, have been best friends forever. Scarlet was always the strong one, but now she needs Halley to be there for her. Halley and her mother, a psychologist, have gotten along well in the past but that has changed. Halley%26#039;s mother used to write books about their relationship, but now they just argue.

This Lullaby - Remy, Jess, Chloe, and Lissa are friends (sort of) and now it is the summer between high school and college. This is a time of transition for each of them, but the story concentrates on Remy who because her mother has had a series of husbands and Remy never even met her father, she is very cynical about love.

Ann Brashares:

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - A wonderful story about Tibby, Carmen, Lena, and Bridget, four very different friends who are spending their first summer apart from one another. Each of the girls faces her own crisis and, in the end, they are there for each other. It%26#039;s a great story of friendship.

Sequels: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood; Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood; and Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood.

I don%26#039;t understand what dissonance means in poetry. Could you provide me with some examples and an explanation? Thanks!

Lewis and Clark are cool.

Good luck!
Reply:I%26#039;m obsessed with the American Revolution, so I%26#039;ll give you some good characters that are easy and fun to research, and exciting to tell about (in my humble opinion, of course):

George Washington

Thomas Jefferson

Samuel Adams

John Hancock

Hope this helped. Good luck on your book.

When writting a book report, what should the paragraphs be?

1st paragraph is intro (duh)

But what about the rest??

What should i explain about the book?

And how many paragraphs do i need?

Im in 11th grade.

And the book im doing is The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams
When writting a book report, what should the paragraphs be?
You should use the Who, What, When, Why, method if you are lost on how to start. As you answer the questions of what and when etc. you will start to see how it should be put together.
When writting a book report, what should the paragraphs be?
Typically, you%26#039;ll have a plot summary paragraph, a paragraph analyzing the primary themes, one describing the literary devices used to demonstrate those themes, and one that analyzes the significance of the work in a broader historical/societal/literary light.

Really this all depends on your thesis. If this is a true blue %26quot;book report%26quot; than I think the first answer would be absolutely correct. Your first paragraph would explain the characters and their roles, the second the setting, third plot, fourth resolution, etc.

I%26#039;ve never had to write an actual book report, and think you should read your assignment carefully before assuming that%26#039;s what yours is supposed to be. (Especially as a Junior. That would be a pretty elementary assignment, unless it%26#039;s for extra credit, in which case you have a cool teacher for giving you such an easy opportunity to boost your grade.)

If it%26#039;s a critical/analytical paper than your thesis will be in your intro, and all your body paragraphs will be the %26quot;proofs%26quot; that you have confirming your thesis. There is no hard set method on what must be covered.

Generally, for high school papers the teacher is looking for well developed paragraphs and demonstration of critical thinking skills, so length is not usually a strict requirement. However, the generally accepted minimum length for any academic paper is five to six paragraphs consisting of a minimum of five complete sentences. That%26#039;s what you should shoot for.

Which of these would you rather read?

I%26#039;ve thought equally about all of them, but I can%26#039;t decide which to write first. 1 and 2 are supernatural and suspese/mystery and 3 is suspense/mystery, supernatural, and action.

1: A young woman is accused of killing her colleague. A friend tells her about a young man who was accused of murder a few years ago and was put in a mental institution. The young woman goes to him for help.

2: A reporter who has never known her father finds some letters from him and starts having creepy dreams about him. A couple times she goes to work and learns that what she dreamt about happened.

3: One day at a restaurant a girl looks up from her job and sees blood splatters on the walls. When she blinks it%26#039;s gone and she thinks nothing of it. Then several men come and kidnap her, trying to use her %26#039;psychic abilities%26#039; for their own purposes. When they realize she can%26#039;t just call upon them, they torture her. Finally, at the end, she is found almost dead.

I think they are all really great and i would pick story entry #2. #3 is very scary so it%26#039;s not my type of thing but it might be cool for others. # 1 is okay but not as good as the other 2.
Reply:I think #2 is the best!

Good luck!
Reply:#3.
Reply:3 would probably do it for me. But 2 sounds pretty good too.
Reply:i would like this one the most.

Old man and the sea?

what do you think is the significane of this title?
Old man and the sea?
i have read the book. I think it%26#039;s how the old man fought with the sea in the book, he really put his heart out of catching fish for the later years of his life, and he has spent countless days out at the sea.
Old man and the sea?
it shows the relationship between both him and the sea, both physically and emotionally. He constantly refers to the sea as a woman, showing he has a deep spiritual connection to it.

Would it be nessceray whne a author to get additonal education for advancement?

It could help for publishing.

But if you%26#039;re a good writer, higher education isn%26#039;t required. In fact, some of the most famous books were written by people who didn%26#039;t attend college.

Just so long as you can write, it doesn%26#039;t matter.

End of ECLIPSE, why did Bella try to take off the bracelet?

After she leaves from Jacob and goes to her room crying... she tries to take it off and Edward said it%26#039;s part of who she is and no? Why and why?
End of ECLIPSE, why did Bella try to take off the bracelet?
I guess she didn%26#039;t want Edward to see it or she doesn%26#039;t want to be reminded of Jacob ever time she looks at her wrist.
End of ECLIPSE, why did Bella try to take off the bracelet?
well, jake gave it to her and he just broke her heart (well, she broke his heart first, i guess) She%26#039;s trying to forget him when Edward tells her to keep it on because it%26#039;s who she is.

It%26#039;s who she is because she%26#039;s already in love with both of them ( on the bracelet, there%26#039;s a wolf, Jake, and a diamond, Edward)
Reply:I think She wants to take it off because she doesn%26#039;t want to be reminded of Jacob, I%26#039;m not sure about hte second one.
Reply:Because the bracelet was a present from Jacob to her, and she is trying to remove Jacob from her life now to prevent herself from hurting him more. So she tries to take it off. Also, because she doesn%26#039;t want to be reminded of what she did to her.

Edward says that she shouldn%26#039;t because it%26#039;s a part of her now because both him and Jacob have been a big part of her life since she moved to Forks - they basically are her life, actually - so it should be kept on because it%26#039;s symbolizes that.
Reply:Remember in Eclipse, Jake gave her a bracelt with a wolf on it and Edward gave her one that was a heart. She took off the wolf one because she was going to forget about Jacob. That part made me cry! It was just so so sad. That%26#039;s why Edward said it was a part of her because Jake is a part of her.
Reply:well i have two explanations:

firstly, in my opinion edward wasen%26#039;t talkin about the braclet. i assume he was talking about how she shoulden%26#039;t hold back her tears and just cry that brings me to why she was taking off her braclet, she was trying not to look edward in the eyes ( i think) it was kind of like an excuse to not start crying. also, maybe she was trying to take it off because jake broke her heart?

hope that helped :D

This is a twilight question.......?

OKAY....here are some character ?s

who%26#039;s Alice Cullen...

Who%26#039;s Jasper......

Edward or Jacob?--
This is a twilight question.......?
Alice is one of the Cullen clan. She is a perky vampire and can see into the future, though her visions don%26#039;t always happen because people will change their minds about things, which changes their futures. She is pretty much Bella%26#039;s best friend.

Jasper is another vampire in the Cullen Clan. He is Alice%26#039;s %26#039;mate%26#039; or %26#039;boyfriend%26#039;. Jasper has the power to see what people are feeling and he is able to control the emotions of the people in the same room as him. He has trouble controlling himself when it comes to not biting humans, but he tries very hard. He also knows a lot about %26#039;newborn%26#039; vampires. Jasper is one of my favorite characters!

If you are asking if i like Edward or Jacob more....

I love both Edward and Jacob, but i prefer Edward b/c Jake kinda gets on my nerves sometimes.
This is a twilight question.......?
I think you should read the book Twilight. It%26#039;s really great and it doesn%26#039;t seem that you have read it before.

Alice: Edward Cullens sister that can see into the future

Jasper: Edward Cullens brother that is the newest member of the covent and Alice%26#039;s significant other

Edward: One of the main vampire characters that is in love with Bella the main character and story teller. Edward can also read minds

Jacob: Bella%26#039;s friend and someone that loves bella and can%26#039;t have her and he%26#039;s a werewolf.
Reply:i don%26#039;t know but here is the link to the first chapter of Breaking Dawn!!! http://weblog.xanga.com/LINDXXSAYY___8D/...
Reply:Have you read the book? If you did then you should know who the characters are. Anyway, Alice is Edward%26#039;s %26quot;sister%26quot;. She%26#039;s married to Jasper who is Rosalie%26#039;s %26quot;twin%26quot; brother.

And I like them both. I can%26#039;t pick just one because they are both very different charcters. But Edward does belong with Bella.
Reply:Alice is Edward%26#039;s %26quot;sister%26quot; and before she was a vampire, she was in an asylum beause she said she had visions. She carried that power in to being a vampire and that%26#039;s why she can see the future. Alice is Jaspers wife and a close friend of bellas

Jasper is Alice%26#039;s husband and the %26quot;weak link%26quot; in the Cullen family. He used to be a vampire that killed others. His power controls someone%26#039;s feelings. Bella says that if Alice wasn%26#039;t with the Cullens, he wouldn%26#039;t be here.

Edward is the main character and is Bella%26#039;s boyfriend/fiance (in Eclipse) He%26#039;s a vampire and Bella is obsessed with him.

Jacob is bella%26#039;s best friend and he is a werewolf. He has feelings for her. She has feelings for him as well, but its not as strong as her feelings for Edward.

FYI. The vampires and werewolves in this series aren%26#039;t what we may think of in the real world. The vampires don%26#039;t live in coffins and all that crap.

you really should read this series. They are extremely good.
Reply:Alice is the psychic one, married to Jasper, he has control over people%26#039;s emotions. Edward is the vampire that can read minds and is in love w/ bella. Jacob is the werewolf that is in love with bella. Have you ever read this book?
Reply:if you haven%26#039;t read twilight you obviously dont know.

Alice: she is a beutiful tiny female with short black curly hair, and pale skin also gold eyes.

she is a psychic and is a vampire. she is also my favorite carater...

Jasper Hale: is the newest member of the cullen family said to be rosalies twin brother (but isent) he is a blond and has the ability to manage the stress enviorment of wherever he is.

EDWARD MASON ANTHONY CULLEN!!!!! because, he is the main caracter and the story could not go on without him.

Jacob on the other hand is one of my favs but if he wasent in the story it wouldent matter

also because i love you edward!!!!
Reply:have you not read the book! lets start witht the best character... * might be spoilers if you havent read all the books

edward is bella%26#039;s vampire boyfriend. hes 17, immortal, and loves bella unconditionally. his %26quot;adoptive%26quot; father, carlisle, is the one who made him a vampire and he now lives in the group with him and the rest of the family. edward can read people%26#039;s minds, excluding bella. also, he doesnt bite people, just animals like the rest of his family

alice- edward%26#039;s vampire %26quot;sister%26quot;. she too has a special talent like edward, she can see into the future. she is tiny and doesnt remember much of her past. she is jasper%26#039;s mate and %26quot;brother%26quot; and is really good friends with bella

jasper- alice%26#039;s vampire mate and edward%26#039;s brother. he was truly born in the civil war times and was changed by a few women. he is able to change the moods of people ex. calming a room of people.

jacob- bella%26#039;s friend from La Push. hes of Quilette descent and later becomes a wherewolf (or however you spell it). in the 2nd book, bella becomes dependent on him when edward is gone. jacob falls for bella and wants to win her over edward

hope this helps you out

Do you believe in Vampires?

do you believe in Vampires.....

if so how do you think they look/ act.....

if not why?
Do you believe in Vampires?
no but i do believe in demons, which are kinda like vampires.
Do you believe in Vampires?
I have certainly met people who act like psychic vampires
Reply:HAHA good question. Well I do envy them. Part of me believes and the other more logical part doesnt. If they are out there PLEASE BITE ME!

Why I do believe in them: it just fits to have them exist

Why I don%26#039;t: there is no REAL such thing as magic

I think they are pale with grey under their eyes, golden eyes that turn red when blood thirsty, and pretty.
Reply:hell yes!!!

i wish to become one someday....

no i am kidding i do blive in them even if they dont exsist... :(

they look like edward :)

:

gold eyes

pale skin

purple shadown under eyes

beutiful

Reply:No i don%26#039;t believe in vampires. But there might be some creeps somewhere in the world that are sort of like vampires in the sense that they drink human blood and are cuckoo. Yuck! human blood * cringes dramatically*
Reply:Hahahahahaha.... no.
Reply:Vampires as far as humans go are only believed in by ignorant idiots. I do not believe there is such a thing as human vampires.
Reply:No,... I do not believe in the supernatural. I do LOVE to read about it though!
Reply:kinda but not fully, well i met people who drank blood but still ate a little bit of human food ^^%26quot;

For PRIVATE by Kate Brian book readers only!?

How would you describe the clothes worn by Noelle, Reed, (before certain incidents) Ariana and Cheyenne, and other billings housemembers? In short words please other than %26#039;couture%26#039; or %26#039;designer?%26#039; Thanks much!
For PRIVATE by Kate Brian book readers only!?
OOOOh i wish i could help but the only books I%26#039;ve read by Kate Brian are: The V club, Sweet 16 and The Princess And the Pauper. I%26#039;m sorry.

What would be some good books for me to read???

I read books really fast and was looking for a few good ones. I really like teen romance novels and fantasies and you could say I am a bookworm. I HATE books that involve talking animals or supernatural stuff. Some books I have read and loved are:

The Clique series (all of them)

The Princess Diaries series (all of them)

When You Wish

13 Little Blue Envelopes

Also do you think the Gossip Girl series is appropriate for a 13 year old girl???
What would be some good books for me to read???
Flower in the attic series.

My favorite book of all time.

There is about 5 books in the series.

I couldnt put the book down!!!

If you google it, you can read the first half of the first chapter.

:]
What would be some good books for me to read???
Ok, so the Twilight books (stephenie Meyer) are really good teen romance novels, probably some of the best. But, i guess they have some super natural stuff, because it is about Vampires......but there really really really good, and totally appropriate for a 13 teen year old!
Reply:I would say the %26quot;Twilight%26quot; series, but you said you hate supernatural stuff, and that involves vampires falling in love with humans.

I liked Gossip Girl, i read it around age 13 too, so go head and read them.

I like the %26quot;Avalon High%26quot; series, too.
Reply:read %26quot;the art of happiness%26quot; by the dalai lama this book is great it has a lot of good advice about how to be happy.
Reply:You would probably love Ella Enchanted and other books by Gail Carson Levine (don%26#039;t worry, its not as cheesy as the movie!).

For a little bit a of a murder mystery try Joan Lowrey Nixon%26#039;s books - they are good.

The Nanny Diaries is a fun read but it does have some colorful language in case you%26#039;re not cool with that.
Reply:I don%26#039;t remember most of the authors, but here are some books:

%26quot;What Happened to Lani Garver%26quot;

%26quot;Deep%26quot;

%26quot;Just Listen%26quot; by Sarah Dessen -REALLY good!!

%26quot;Dreamland%26quot; (i think that%26#039;s the name of it)

and there%26#039;s The Mediator series, but she can see ghosts and stuff, and you said you don%26#039;t like supernatural stuff, but seriously, that series was hilarious, and it had teen romance that I just LOVED, and it was just plain AWESOME! the series is by Meg Cabot, and since you%26#039;ve already read one of her series you%26#039;d still prolly like this one. But yeah, you should at least try them. The first book is called Shadowland. I think...lol.

If you do try them, tell me what cha think!

=)
Reply:I am 15 and I have been reading Gossip Girl for a little while now. Im on the 9th book and I loveeeee it. Are you in 7th grade? Im wondering because they may or may not be appropriate...it all depends on what you are exposed to at your age.

I found a site that I could read all of the books by lora leigh for free but i didnt save it does anyone know?
There are two Web sites that have Lora Leigh%26#039;s ebooks, BUT they%26#039;re not free. Prices range from about US$9-$16.

http://ebooks.ebookmall.com/author/lora-...

http://www.mobipocket.com/en/eBooks/Auth... [This one has free samples, but only a sample of the book.]

Since she is selling access, I rather doubt that you will find them for free, and if you do, if would not be a legal site.

Can anyone recommend some good books that take place in the 18th century?

I love the American Revolution, Marie Antoinette, and basically the entire middle-late 18th century.

Are there any good books, historical fiction or interesting and exciting non-fiction about this time period?

I%26#039;m writing a novel about the American Revolution, and I need inspiration, not so much information.

Thanks so much!
Can anyone recommend some good books that take place in the 18th century?
Not totally sure if this is the right time period, but I love the book, The House of Mirth (Edith Wharton). Maybe this will work....
Can anyone recommend some good books that take place in the 18th century?

The Great and Terrible Beauty series- Libba Bray

The Other Boleyn Girl- Philippa Gregory

The Queen鈥檚 Fool- Philippa Gregory

and A Ride Into Morning: The Story of Tempe Wick
Reply:Fever by Laurie Halse Anderson
Reply:Bloody Jack and Just Jane are very good. They are both from the Revolution time period.

What are some good books about the end of the world?

Nothing religious, I don%26#039;t mean about cults/religions predicting the end of the world. I%26#039;m looking for something more along the lines of the movie Armageddon, which is about an asteroid headed towards earth.
What are some good books about the end of the world?
The Road by Cormac McCarthy is post-apocalypse, and a really good book.
What are some good books about the end of the world?
There is hint of that Armageddon stuff in The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

There is another book called Feed by M.T Anderson that is about the world coming to an end because we as human beings are solely dependent on electronics and technology.

I hope that helps :)
Reply:life as we knew it

by someone I forgot

it%26#039;s about an asteroid hitting the moon out of orbit
Reply:Lucifer%26#039;s Hammer, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, is about civilization as we know it being destroyed by a comet. It%26#039;s largely a survivalist tale about how people attempt to get along after the event.

The Forge of God by Greg Bear is about the complete destruction of the planet by aliens. There%26#039;s a sequel, Anvil of Stars, about the quest by the survivors to avenge the act.
Reply:You might be interested in The Taking by Dean Koontz. It%26#039;s definitely apocalyptic in nature. It%26#039;s also excellent; I couldn%26#039;t put it down.

Of course, there is also The Stand by Stephen King.

Mary Shelley wrote a story called The Last Man, about a world destroyed by plague.

The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham is another book in which you may be interested.

Wikipedia has a rather extensive list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_apo... you may find interesting. There are also another 17 books listed http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Post-Apo... on Amazon.

I hope that helps.
Reply:I agree with Mrs Jasper Hail. The Road by Cormac McCarthy is a great post-apocalyptic novel. I finished it in two sittings. It would have been one if I%26#039;d had the time. The one thing about this book that you /may/ not like is that the apocalypse occurs before the story starts, so it%26#039;s not like Armageddon in the sense that you are actively watching the destructive force. The Road is a story about a father and son trying to survive the aftermath.

i like it a lot. It%26#039;s interesting and it draws me in. You%26#039;re descriptions are really good. There are barely any dialogues but in this case it was a good thing. Keep writing!!!!!!!

Reply:That was really good--it%26#039;s a great start.

Some careful editing would really polish it off.

First, you need to check for typos, grammar, etc.

And then, keep in mind that it%26#039;s better to show, rather than tell. This chapter does a lot of telling.

But I thought you did a great job showing us her nervousness and the importance of the audition. It was a good hook in the beginning.

So now you just need to trim it down, polish your description of the city, and don%26#039;t tell us that she really wants the part (show us, like with the example of the t-shirt).
Reply:it was pretty good, but it didn%26#039;t attract me in, sry, but i still liked it anyways ^^ i rate it a 5 out of 10

This is kinda like a chick book but okay...

Snow White is told to choose a prince and runs away and gets lost in the woods...dwarves find her and she must decide which one will be her prince...

idk it is kinda dumb
Can anyone help me think of a new plot for snow white?
Snow White runs for president against Obama. You do the math.
Reply:The evil stepmother/queen is actually a nice person and Snow White is a jealous brat who resents her father%26#039;s remarriage. After finding out her lies, her father/king sends her away to boarding school. She runs away and is hiding out in a cabin in the forest. The seven dwarves are figments of her imagination, because she%26#039;s really insane.
Reply:there%26#039;s never an evil stepmother

her mother never dies

the prince is a jerk

she marries the hunter guy that was supposed to kill her

she never wakes up after eating the apple

someone else ate the apple

a dwarf was the prince

try babynames.com too. there are a ton on there. there are like... character name lists and stuff too. that%26#039;s where i get a lot of my names for stuff i write.
Reply:names in a book are almost as important as the plot. It%26#039;s what publishers look for and schools, famous critics. go to babynames.com and look for meanings that associate themselves ith their personalities. For instance Morris, means dark and Alena means light. It even gives you nationalities and you can sign up for free and keep a list, I always use it for writting my short stories or my book i%26#039;m working on.

I'm looking for an online library!?

Can anyone tell me of a library online, where I can check out books, cd%26#039;s, movies, and have them mailed to me?

With gas prices and the prices of everything else going up, I thought this could be a good change in pace, and maybe save me some money.

When I was little, my mom used to borrow books through the mail. (Back in the days before the In-ter-net.) So I%26#039;m assuming someone has to have a similar set-up through the world wide web.

Thanks in advance!
I%26#039;m looking for an online library!?
I am subscribed to Paperspine, which follows Netflix model. I figured that since I spend so much in books and not everything is a %26quot;keeper%26quot; I might as well try book rental. You can also try http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php

For movies, definitely Netflix. My husband is subscribed and it works great.

If you are interested in audiobooks: http://www.simplyaudiobooks.com/

For general music downloads I use Rhapsody.

It may sound like a lot, but if I were to add up what I used to spend in books, movie rentals, and music, it would be triple than what I pay for these subscriptions.

Don%26#039;t know if this helps, but I definitely can sympathize.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven novel...?

what is a good theme for this book?

or, what are some good song lyrics or poems that relate to the theme??

Help with this would greatly be appreciated!! THANKS :D
The Five People You Meet In Heaven novel...?
Eeic Claptons %26quot;Tears in heaven .%26quot; 1st line is%26quot; would you know my name if i met you in heaven? %26quot;and if you read Mitch Alboms novel you will know according to that book its not always people you expect to meet in heaven , brilliant book.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven novel...?
well, it%26#039;s a movie too, so for songs, look up the movie and figure out if they played any songs in it and use them. we just started the movie in religion class on friday and so far it%26#039;s really good, so i%26#039;m assuming you enjoyed the book!
Reply:I just love that book. Mitch Albom has developed a niche for that genre. You%26#039;ve read the book, what lesson did you learn? The answer can be a theme.

Free ebook sites?

Does anyone know some free good ebook sites that have modern teenage books? I have so many sites with the classics but practically none for modern books!
Free ebook sites?
Here are a few websites for you:

Free ebook sites?
That is because any recent books (up to 70 years) are protected by copyright law and only the author can make them available for free. Anyone making available links to sites that offer free copyrighted material, or sending ebooks via email, making them available in p2p file sharing or torrents, is breaking the law.

Some libraries offer a catalog of recent books in electronic formats. That is your safest bet. I am subscribed to the NY Public Library just to have access to their ebooks.

Do u know if lover enshrinded is the last book in the black dagger brotherhood series?

the book are by j.d ward and its number 6 in the series but no one is saying if its the last one or not
Do u know if lover enshrinded is the last book in the black dagger brotherhood series?
It is not the last by any stretch of the imagination. The series is alive and kicking, and as per the author herself, we have quite a few more books in this series coming up in the future. Additionally, when you read the book, you%26#039;ll see that there are a number of ongoing plot lines that were left open for development in future books.

Check her website: www.jrward.com.
Do u know if lover enshrinded is the last book in the black dagger brotherhood series?
Just to echo Laheira2, there are definately more. I just started this series so I checked her website. Yah, I%26#039;m a really nerdy reader, lol. I always go to the authors%26#039; websites and read what I can find about them and their work. *sigh* I wonder if there is any help for this.

Anyway, she lists quite a few more characters books that she is working on. You should definately check out the site.

What do you think of the book, "He's just not that into you"?

Basically accurate? Or not?

I don%26#039;t like the fact that it offers so many absolutes, as if to say %26quot;if he%26#039;s REALLY interested, he WILL pursue you.%26quot; But I read question from scared guys on Y!A all the time.
What do you think of the book, %26quot;He%26#039;s just not that into you%26quot;?
The guy who wrote it is full of what makes the grass grow green. Watched him on a talk show and the guy is a total loser, I don%26#039;t know how he ever got the book published and I pity anyone he is with, if he is with anyone. A MUCH better book is, Men are from Mars Women are from Venus.

The Book theif?
sweetie, many people here are happy to help with a question or 2 that you have with your homework but nobody is going to do it all for you. read the book and then if you have 1 or 2 questions, post them.

A good title?

what do you think would be a good title for a kids book about nutrition. The book i wrote is about a boy (benny) learns the correct ways of staying healthy! Any idea would be good! please help
A good title?
you could call it %26quot;playing is hard work%26quot;. call it this because kids love to play, and in order for them to have energy to play, they have to eat the right foods, and it%26#039;s hard to get all the servings of fruits and stuff like that every day.

(10 pts to the best)
TWILIGHT-- the books facts?
1) Bella. One trait is that she blushes all the time

2) Edward. One trait is that he wants to suck Bella%26#039;s blood.

The main character%26#039;s (Bella%26#039;s) problem is that she can%26#039;t figure out what Edward is and when she does, she ahs to decide if she wants to risk her life to be with Edward because she loves him.

Sequence of events:

1) Bella moves to Forks, Washington.

2) Bella starts school and meets the Cullens.

3) Bella learns that Edward is a vampire.

4) Bella is almost killed

Climax- When Edward sucks the venom out of Bella%26#039;s hand.

Resolution- The Cullens kill James.

The theme of the story- Temptation

Ctitique- It was the most amazing book I%26#039;ve ever read! The beginning was a little slow, but then it turned into the best thing ever! I%26#039;m acctually going to read for the third time soon!

Do NOT listen to Judy%26#039;s, it was VERY wrong.
TWILIGHT-- the books facts?
1. Bella is 17 and moves to Forks so that her mom and travel with her husband without her being a bother. She lives with her dad, Charlie in the rainiest place. She%26#039;s extremely clumsy and has balance problems. She doesn%26#039;t care that much her popularity and is fascinated by Edward.

2. Edward is a vampire and goes to Forks high school. He has the power to read other%26#039;s minds, except for Bella. He is overprotective or her and wishes for her to be safe. He thinks he is selfish for being with bella and putting her in danger so often.

1. There are vampire nomads, Laurent, and he wants to kill Bella for fun.

1. Bella moves to forks and meets Edward

2. She finds out he is a vampire, but still likes him. They are together now

3 laurent comes and tries to kill bella. Bella runs away and hides

4. Bella is hurt and in the hospital. Laurent is dead, and she goes back to Forks with Edward

Climax - Laurent tries to kill her

Resolution - Emmett and Jasper kill Lauren

Theme- a human falls in love with a vampire

NO CRITIQUE!! BEST BOOK.SERIES!
Reply:1) Bella Swan: an average girl, of average height with brown hair, slender, brown eyes. She is clumsy, above average intelligence, though not a genius by a long-shot, and is fairly loyal. She can be stubborn, and slightly single-minded at times.

2) Edward Cullen: a vampire, so incredibly attractive with reflexes that are far beyond those of a human. He can be slightly conservative in his views, and stubborn, though not as single-minded as Bella. He has the ability to read others thoughts, except Bella%26#039;s.

1) Bella falls in love with Edward. Multiple complexes arise out of this.

1) Bella moves to Forks, WA, and meets Edward

2) Bella and Edward fall in love

3) Bella goes with the Cullens to watch them play vampire baseball, and they encounter another group of vampires

4) Said vampires want Bella%26#039;s blood, and so lure her to Phoenix, her previous home town, on the pretense that her mother is being held captive

Climax: Bella is attacked by James, one of the other vampires. He bites her, but not enough venom is transfered to turn her into a vampire. Edward kills James

Resolution: Bella and the Cullens go back to Forks, fairly unscathed.

Theme: Appearances may be deceiving (ie: the Cullens are viewed as beautiful teens who keep to themselves, but are, in fact, vampires. Bella is thought to be an average girl, but is special to so many).

Love conquers all barriers, etc.

Critical Comments: The book is a very fast read. The actual writing itself is not that great, but the story is addictive all the same. The author is very good a developing characters and plot, but what is in between is not exceptional writing. Also, the growing fan base is actually quite annoying. It makes the book seem less genuine, as almost everyone has read it, and has the same level of obsession with it. Similar to other pop culture things, such as Hannah Montana, in that sense. All together, good for a quick read
Reply:main charecters and their traits

1) Bella - clumsy, loving, smart, human

2) Edward - strong, mysterious, vampire [and hot (: ]

Problem-(what is the main characters problem)

1) In the first half of the book : She likes Edward

In the second half of the book: James wants to kill Bella

Sequence of events-

1)Bella moves to Forks

3)Bella notices the next day [second day of school] that Edward isn%26#039;t there. He doesn%26#039;t come back for another week.

4)Edward comes back and attempts to be friends with Bella. They do a lab together.

5) Bella almost gets run over by Tyler Crowley%26#039;s van, but Edward saves her and Bella tries to make Edward tell her why he saved her. He doesn%26#039;t answer. He stops talking to her.

6) When Mike asks Bella to the spring dance a few weeks later, Edward starts talking to Bella again. Bella gets asked out 2 more times that day.

7) The next day Bella has lunch with Edward at school. Edward skips Biology because they are blood typing. Bella gets sick. Mike starts walking her to the nurse%26#039;s office. Edward sees them. He gets Bella and after taking her to the nurse%26#039;s office he drives her home.

8) Bella goes to La Push with Mike and the gang, where she meets Jacob Black and he tells her a story about werewolves and vampires.

9) Bella goes to Port Angeles With Angela and Jessica. She gets lost. She gets cornered by a group of men. Edward saves her. they have lunch at a restaurant. She gets him to tell her that he%26#039;s a vampire.

10) Edward picks her up and takes her to school the next day. People start thinking that they are going out.

11) Edward and Bella go to a meadow, where they tell each other how much they like each other. They go to Bella%26#039;s house. He stays at her house for the night.

the theme of this story-

True love will overcome any obstacles

and any critique u may have on the book-

LOVE ITTTTT :D

Sorry, I%26#039;m bad at doing the sequence of events,

I didn%26#039;t think I could leave anything out. Sorry again!

Reply:1) Edward Cullen--graceful, overprotective, sexy, caring, loving, sweet, kind, gentlemanly, super-strong, everything perfect, and a vampire.

2) Bella Swan--klutzy, immature, stubborn, sensitive, friendly, shy, meek, week, loving, kind, and a human.

1) Bella moves to Forks.

3) Bella meets Jacob, who tells her old Quilleute legends, that helps her figure out Edward%26#039;s secret.

4) Bella figures out that Edward is a vampire.

5) Bella almost gets robbed/killed by people in Port Angelous, where she tells Edward that she figured out what he is, and he tells her what she wants to know, then the get together.

6) When the Cullens want to play baseball, Bella goes, and watches because they%26#039;re all super strong and could kill her with the flick of a finger. James%26#039; cavern shows up, and James decides to track Bella, then kill her, (which Edward reads his mind to find out.

7) James tricks Bella into coming to him, making her think that he has her mom.

8) Bella almost dies, when Edward comes to save her, and they kill James.

9) James had bitten Bella, and she was going to die, but Edward sucked the venom out of her, and managed to stop once the venom was all out, even though Bella%26#039;s blood smelled, and tasted, extra good to him.

10) They told everyone that Bella had fallen down two flights of stairs and fell out a window at a hotel, where she had agreed to talk to Edward even though the %26#039;broke up%26#039;.

The theme is a vampire (Edward) and a human (Bella) fall in love, and there love overpowers there differences.

What is a main similarity in two of these four novels?

The Great Gatsby

Their Eyes Were Watching God

Chronicle of a Death Foretold

The Grapes of Wrath
What is a main similarity in two of these four novels?
Gatsby and Grapes are both representative of a class of people (the rich and the poor). Gatsby features a character driven to do anything to be reunited with his lost love and Grapes features a family driven to do anything to survive.

Reply:I just finished reading a series of three books. The titles are Peter and the Starcatchers, then Peter and the Shadow Thieves, and finally, Peter and the Secret of Rundoon. They%26#039;re really great novels about Peter Pan, and how he obtained the magic powers, and the adventures he has with his friends and the evil Captain Hook. The authors are Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. I would really suggest reading them on a long flight, because once you start reading, its very hard to stop. =]
Reply:The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly...historical, but good. It has 400+ pages, and there is a sequel.

Why is "My Sweet Audrina" a stand-alone novel?

V. C. Andrews wrote many novels and inspired many more after her passing. Most of her novels followed a specific five-book pattern where the reader would learn of the main character%26#039;s identity, then the offspring, and finally a prequel of the character%26#039;s parentage. One of my favorite novels that she wrote was %26quot;My Sweet Audrina.%26quot; Why were there no sequels or prequels to this series? I%26#039;m looking for factual information that could be backed up with references. Thank you.
